Summary:  Two men were fishing the Cumberland River around Lower Nashville Island when they saw a human skull washed up on the shore.  Out of fear the skull would wash away by the time they returned with authorities, they picked the skull up and gave it to police.  The island was searched, and no other skeletal parts were found.  The cause of death was undetermined.

Demographics:  Adult Human Skull, possibly Black/African American male, 20-30 years of age.  Estimated time of death 4-8 months.
