Location Found: Near the McCrory Lane Bridge (Harpeth River) Nashville, TN
Summary: Victim was found in the Harpeth River by a fisherman. Medical doctor at the time determined that she had died as a result of drowning. Two persons of interest were interviewed. Both admitted to having picked up this female as she was hitching a ride along Interstate 24 on March 15th. The men stated that this female was traveling with another female white with blond hair. The men drove the females to the Manchester/Winchester, Tennessee exit and dropped them off. They indicated that the female told them her name was “Sherry” or “Cheryl” and that she had escaped or runaway from some type of institution up north.
Demographics: White/Caucasian/Latino/Native American, Biological Female, Estimated Age 14-17 Years, 5’2” tall, 120 lbs., Brown Hair, Brown Eyes. She had a mole on her left temple; 2 surgical scars on her abdomen; and old scars, possibly from cigarette burns, on both arms. She was clothed in blue jeans, bra, choker type necklace with beads and a white dove, and a rawhide bracelet. Estimated time of death was within hours of discovery.
