On Monday, July 7th, 2003, around 8:00pm officers responded to a report of a stabbing at the railroad tracks near 111 North 1st Street. Raymond Woodrow Christmas walked up to one of the officers and told him he had been stabbed by a white male wearing a white shirt and black pants. Christmas was transported to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries on Friday, July 11th. Raymond Woodrow Christmas was 48 years old at the time of his death.
