On the evening of Monday, February 28th, 2000 Jason Lamont Clark was at his girlfriend’s house when he got a call from his brother. Clark’s brother and a friend had gotten into an altercation when they came to the aid of a neighbor who was being assaulted. Clark went home to 1000 Thompson Place to see what was going on with the situation. After arriving home and talking with his brother, he stepped outside to the patio around 11:00pm to have a smoke. As he was smoking he was fatally shot. Jason Lamont Clark was 21 years old at the time of his death.
