On Sunday, September 21st, 1997, shortly after 5:00am, a blue 4-door Chrysler traveled through the playground at Napier Elementary School before crossing the street and coming to a stop upon impact with the porch of the house at 69 Donelson Avenue. The driver, Eric Stover, had been shot and was taken to the hospital. It is believed he was shot while on Cannon Street in the area of Lewis Street. Eric Stover was 24 years old at the time of his death.
