Shortly before 5:00pm on Wednesday, July 26th, 1995, officers conducted a welfare check after receiving a report from a passing motorist that there was a semi-truck pulled over to the side of I-440 near Nolensville Rd. with the driver slumped over the steering wheel. When they arrived, they found Otho H. Wade deceased from a gunshot wound. He had been shot while sitting in the driver’s seat and may have been robbed by his killer. Wade was a resident of Mississippi. Otho H. Wade was 72 years old at the time of his death.
