1987-283181 – Jerome Walling

On the afternoon of Sunday, November 29th, 1987, Jerry Wayne Walling was found deceased in his basement by his brother and father. Walling’s father had arrived to the house, located at 6520 Premier Drive, two days earlier from Florida, on Friday, November 27th, 1987, for the Thanksgiving holiday and the father and brother had been unable to locate Walling on that day. Walling’s brother had last seen him on Monday, November 16th, 1987 and had stopped by the house a couple times between then and the 27th trying to get ahold of Walling without success. On Sunday, they looked at the one place at the house they had not yet looked, which was the basement that was locked with a padlock. They were able to break off the lock and found Walling lying on the basement floor deceased. It was determined that blunt force trauma was his cause of death. It is likely he was killed on November 16th or 17th after he was last seen. Jerome “Jerry” Wayne Walling was 38 years old at the time of his death.
