In the early hours of Tuesday, December 8th, 1987, a train was East bound approaching 16th Ave. N. when they saw a woman lying on the tracks. Despite efforts to alert the woman, she did not move and the train was unable to stop. When officers arrived at the railroad tracks between 16th & 17th Ave N., north of Clinton Street, they discovered the deceased body of Karen Denise Lebo. Lebo, also known as Karen Henson, had died from blunt force trauma some hours prior to the train’s approach. Karen Denise Lebo was 27 years old at the time of her death.
