On Sunday, September 14th, 1997 at approximately 2:30am, Randy Thomas Wright was stabbed multiple times in the street near 1st Avenue South and Carroll Street. Just prior to this incident, Wright had been seen having an altercation with at least two white males driving an older full size van light in color with tinted windows, possibly a work van. One of the men had a pony tail and the other had facial hair. Randy Thomas Wright was 39 years old at the time of his death.
