2018-0680947 – Deion Woodruff

Update: The case was presented to the Davidson County Grand Jury in July, 2020 and two people were indicted for first-degree murder, DeAnthony Fletcher and Donald Brown.

At approximately 10:30 on Wednesday, August 8th, 2018 an officer on patrol saw a male lying on the ground at the intersection of 32nd Avenue North and Clifton Avenue. He was identified as Deion Latyron “Treon” Woodruff and had suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was unresponsive. There were indications that he was dropped off by a car at that location after he was shot. He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Deion Latyron Woodruff was 23 years old at the time of his death.
