On Tuesday, July 17th, 2012, shortly after 9:00pm, Shorish Faraj and his girlfriend arrived at her residence at 200 Paragon Mills Road. Faraj was standing behind her as she opened the door when a gunman came up behind them and started shooting. Faraj and his girlfriend were both struck. Faraj’s multiple injuries were fatal. A black man was seen running to a silver Chevy Impala with tinted windows in the apartment complex parking lot after the shooting. Shorish Faraj was 28 years old at the time of his death.
