On Saturday, April 21st, 2012, Lashunda Brown was hosting a birthday party for her brother at her residence at 3229 Spears Road when a gunmen entered through an unlocked door at approximately 10:45pm and ordered the guests to get down on the floor while a second gunman waited outside. He took money from some of the guests and then began firing. Four people were hit. Brown was fatally struck and the other three survived their wounds. Lashunda Brown was 32 years old at the time of her death.
