On Sunday, June 5th, 2005, Kareem Abdul Jabar Prewit was driving in a maroon Chevy Tahoe on Benzing Road around 10:30pm when a car driving toward them began shooting at them as they drove past. Prewit was struck by gunfire and continued driving the Tahoe until he crashed at 133 Shacklett Lane Court. Kareem Abdul Jabar Prewit was 18 years old at the time of his death.
