On Saturday, July 16th, 2005, just before 7:00pm officers responded to an armed robbery and shooting that occurred at the Game Xchange located at 5211 Hickory Hollow Parkway. Richard Michael Cole, an employee working at the Game Xchange that evening, was fatally shot during the robbery. The manager of the store pursued the two young black males out of the store into the parking lot where there was more gunfire exchanged between the men and the manager. Richard Michael Cole was 18 years old at the time of his death.
