Just before midnight on Sunday, October 8th, 2000, Charles William Bender, Jr. pulled into his garage at 2609 Whites Creek Pike. Bender ran out of the garage and was shot multiple times as he tried to flee. Bender was found lying deceased in his neighbor’s driveway the next morning at approximately 5:30am. Charles William Bender, Jr. was 49 years old at the time of his death.
