On Monday, October 2nd, 2000, Luana Joanne Nunn was standing and talking with two men in a vacant lot at 1901 12th Avenue North around 7:00pm when a white Mercury Marquis stopped at the lot. The car was occupied by two white males. The passenger started shooting and Nunn was fatally struck. It is possible that one of the two men she was with was the intended target. Luana Joanne Nunn was 38 years old at the time of her death.
