On Thursday, July 17th, 1997 at approximately 8:30pm, Claude Lee Majors was sitting in his vehicle outside of his business and residence located at 2907 12th Avenue South when he was fatally shot. A person in the business next door heard Majors shout out, “Help me!” and then heard a gunshot. When he went outside, he found Majors in his car injured and called 911. Claude Lee Majors was 71 years old at the time of his death.
