1993-167571 – Marcellus Maddix

On the evening of Monday, June 7th, 1993, Marcellus Houston Maddix was at home in bed with his girlfriend and 8 month old son when a man returned to his house for the third time that day with another man unknown to Maddix or his friend who was also in the house located at 2412 Oakwood Avenue. This unknown man pulled out a gun and began shooting Maddix numerous times and shot the friend once. The men then left in a dirty brown or gold station wagon with wood side panels and a roof rack. Maddix was fatally wounded, his friend survived his gunshot wound, and Maddix’s girlfriend and child were unharmed. Marcellus Houston Maddix was 32 years old at the time of his death.
