On Saturday, December 20th, 1986, Robin Lynn Griggs’ husband reported her missing. She had last been seen just after midnight on Wednesday, December 17th, 1987 at the Hagaman’s Truck Stop located at I-24 and Old Hickory Boulevard wearing blue jeans, a blue sweater, a red jacket and tennis shoes. Griggs, also known as “Sweet Sue,” was found on Sunday, February 1st, 1987. Her body was located in a wooded area off Westbound I-24 about a half mile from Old Hickory Boulevard; she had suffered fatal blunt force trauma. She was found in the clothes she was last seen wearing on December 17th, when she went missing. Robin Lynn Griggs was 29 years old at the time of her death.
