Just before 8:00pm on Monday, October 12th, 1981 Knolie G. Chunn was leaving the residence of one of his insurance customers at 1709 24th Ave N. after collecting payments. While at his car, he was approached by an armed man with the intention of robbing him. Chunn was shot and managed to make it back up the front walk to the door of 1709 24th Ave. N. to ask the residents to call an ambulance. The shooter was described as a black male around 25 years old, approximately 5’7” and 150 pounds. Knolie G. Chunn was 60 years old at the time of his death.
