Shortly after noon on Friday, September 12th, 1975 Anthony Ray Satterfield was found stabbed to death in his cell at the Tennessee State Prison. An inmate was seen handing a half pair of scissors to another inmate who went into Satterfield’s cell and stabbed him. Anthony Ray Satterfield was 25 years old at the time of his death.
