At approximately 1:00am on Saturday, May 11th, 1974 a masked man broke into the front door of the house of Dan Flemings located at 1223 1st Ave S. Apt #2 and shot him in the living room multiple time before leaving the way he came. Flemings was in the house with his wife, who was on the phone at the time, and their teenage son. The masked gunman was approximately 5’9” and was wearing blue jean pants and a blue jean jacket with a black sweater underneath. Dan Flemings was 60 years old at the time of his death.
