At approximately 11:30pm on Friday, May 27th, 2017, Channing Lockridge was standing in the driveway of a residence at 1408 Chester Avenue when shots were fired from a car that was driving past toward Scott Avenue. The vehicle was described as a 4-door sedan with tinted windows. Channing Lockridge died at the scene from the gunfire. Another man who was with Lockridge suffered a minor gunshot injury. Channing Lockridge was 32 years old at the time of his death.
