On August 11, 2020, at approximately 8:58hrs, patrol officers responded to an address on Colbert Way for a victim who had been shot. Benjamin was located with a gunshot wound and was transported to the hospital. Benjamin was pronounced deceased at the hospital. The suspect was not seen during the incident. A possible suspect vehicle was seen; a bronze or rust colored Kia Sportage-type vehicle. This vehicle had been driving through the area with its headlights off prior to the shooting. Benjamin was 30 years old at the time of his death.
