2016-0974117 – Mark Darren Fisher

Around 11:00pm on Tuesday, November 1st, 2016, Mark Darren Fisher went to his friend Derrick Carter’s house at 400 Cathy Jo Circle to pay Carter for some work he had done for him. He parked his white Dodge pickup with a trailer full of wood pallets in front of the house, paid Carter and then left. Fisher called Carter shortly after leaving saying that he thought he was being followed. Carter told him to come back to his house. Fisher again parked in front of his friend’s house shortly before midnight and was approached by two black men who had been seen getting out of a dark 4-door car that had parked behind the Carter’s house. The two men approached on both sides of Fisher’s pickup and fired into the truck striking Fisher. Carter came out of the house and was shot at but was not hit. He returned fire at the men and then returned inside to call 911. Fisher attempted to drive away but came to a stop at 516 Cathy Jo Circle, succumbing to his injuries. Mark Darren Fisher was 51 years old at the time of his death.
