At approximately 12:30pm on Wednesday, September 28th, 2016, Christopher J. Sparks was driving his red Honda Accord down Ed Temple Blvd. when he engaged in heated words with occupant(s) of a silver Chevy Impala with dark tinted windows (pictured below) in the lane to the left of his car. Two gunshots were heard and smoke was seen coming out of the passenger side window of the silver Impala. The Impala then turned left onto Buchanan Street and the red Honda Accord, driven by Sparks, slowly came to a stop in the right lane of traffic on Ed Temple Blvd., just before the intersection at Buchanan. Sparks had been fatally struck by the gunshots. Christopher Sparks was 36 years old at the time of his death.
