Just after midnight on Sunday, October 11, 2015, Craig Hoo drove his new red Kia Optima to the Trinity Hills Village Apartments located at 400 E. Nocturne Dr. with a couple friends. They were there to continue a fight that involved one of the friends earlier in the night at the Overlook Ridge Apartments on Buena Vista Park. As the friend tried to approach the men, gunfire erupted. Hoo was fatally shot while driving his Optima, which came to a stop after running into other vehicles in the parking lot. Craig Hoo was 28 years old at the time of his death.
