In the early hours of Saturday, August 29th, 2015, Armondo “Mondo” Smoot and two acquaintances drove to a friend’s house at 4641 Forest Ridge Dr. after leaving an after-hours club. One of the men in the car entered the house shortly ahead of Smoot. As Smoot approached the door alone, shortly before 6:00am, he was fatally shot multiple times before he was able to enter. Armondo Smoot was 24 years old at the time of his death.
