2010-176907 – John Rucker

Just after 1:00am on Sunday, February 14th, 2010, John Leslie Rucker, Jr. and his friend had just arrived at Club LAX at 833 Murfreesboro Pike and were walking to the door to go inside when they noticed a large fight in progress outside the club. They decided to return to their car, and as they walked back they were both struck by gunfire. Rucker was struck in the back and his friend was struck in his foot. The friend drove them to the emergency room. Rucker’s injuries rendered him a paraplegic and he died of complications of his gunshot wound on January 23rd, 2019. John Leslie Rucker, Jr. was 36 years old at the time he was shot and was 44 years old at the time of his death.
