On Sunday, November 9th, 2008 just before 2:00am, Tremayne Lamont Woods was at The Place, a club located at 217 2nd Avenue South, when he got into an argument with a black male which had to be broken up by the security guard. The other man had come with a group of people, and approximately six of them stepped out onto the porch after the argument was broken up. After about five minutes, they came back in and the man who Woods had been arguing with shot him from behind. Tremayne Lamont Woods was 27 years old at the time of his death.
