Just after midnight on Sunday, August 3rd, 2008 Kenneth Wayne Crawley was sitting on a bicycle in front of 45 University Court when a small white pickup truck pulled up. Two of the three people in the pickup got out of the vehicle and walked up to Crawley. One of the two black males said something to Crawley before he started shooting. Crawley dropped the bicycle and attempted to flee, however was shot multiple times during this attempt. The two men then continued to stand over Crawley and shoot him before leaving in the white pickup which may have been driven by a black female. Crawley was taken to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries on the evening of August 5th, 2008. Kenneth Wayne Crawley was 18 years old at the time of his death.
