On Friday, January 18th, 2008 at approximately 3:00am the back door of James Edward Shearon’s house located at 1210 Watts Terrace was forced open. Shearon, who had been asleep in bed with his wife, awoke to the disturbance and got out of bed to check on the noise. It appears that Shearon was confronted in the hallway by the intruders who demanded, “Where’s the safe?” before shooting Shearon multiple times. James Edward Shearon was 61 years old at the time of his death.
