Shortly after 3:00pm on Wednesday, September 5th, 2007, an unknown black male entered the front door of 1404 Pennock Avenue and walked into the living room where Demarius Lacey was sitting with several other people. The man scanned the room and when he saw Lacey, he began shooting and Lacey was struck multiple times. The male was described as a black male with a light complexion, 18-12 years old, slim build, and braided hair going down to about mid-neck. He fled the house and got into the passenger side of a vehicle, possibly a newer model black Chevy Impala with tinted windows, that was parked in the alley behind 1404 Pennock Avenue. Demarius Lacey was 17 years old at the time of his death.
