On Sunday, July 23rd, 2006, shortly after 11:00am, Jesus Ibara-Chavez was sitting in a vehicle next to a small white car at 3918 Haywood Lane and was involved in an argument with the occupants of the car who were described as two black males and one Hispanic male. During the argument, one of the males in the white car starting shooting at Ibara-Chavez. Ibara-Chavez was struck and another person in the area attempted to drive him to the emergency room but crashed the vehicle on the way and fled on foot. Ibara-Chavez was located in the vehicle off Antioch Pike where it had crashed and was transported to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries the following day. Jesus Ibara-Chavez was 25 years old at the time of his death.
