Sometime between midnight and 11:00am on Monday, February 16th, 1998, the Deli Round Up Restaurant, located at 329 S. Gallatin Pike, was forcibly entered through a side door. William Edward Williams, Jr. was an employee of the restaurant who slept there and kept overnight security at the business. Williams was forcibly struck over the head resulting in his death. Various areas of the business were pried open and apparently searched for cash. William Edward Williams, Jr. was 52 years old at the time of his death.
