At approximately 2:00am on Friday, November 15th, 1996 Samboth “Sam” Phonsith was shot multiple times as he slept in his bed at his residence located at 708 Muskhugean Court. He was shot while his two young children and mother-in-law slept in the house. His mother-in-law heard someone running down the hall after she heard the gunshots around 2:00am but didn’t leave her bedroom until her grandson came to get her and they called 911 at that time. Samboth “Sam” Phonsith was 30 years old at the time of his death.
