Just before midnight on Tuesday, June 18th, 1996, Mikhail Faermark pulled his 1985 4-door blue Chevy Impala with a gray vinyl roof into the parking lot of the Citgo mini-mart located at 301 White Bridge Road. Faermark lived nearby and frequented the market on a regular basis. On this evening, after Faermark had parked his car, a black male with a medium-large build and wearing a black mask approached him, shot him multiple times, then got into the car and drove away. The car was later towed from the Countrywood Apartments located at 5646 Amalie Drive after having been abandoned there for approximately three weeks. Mikhail Faermark was 44 years old at the time of his death.
