At approximately 5:30pm on Sunday, December 25th, 1994 James Kenneth “Kenny” Pleasant, parked his car behind 916 North 6th Street, then ran around the front of the house and collapsed. He had been shot multiple times after exiting his car. A female was seen near Pleasant before she ran and got into a maroon Chevy Lumina van parked and sped away from the scene. The van had been seen parked in front of 914 North 6th Street on several different occasions prior to the shooting. Pleasant succumbed to his injuries during surgery. James Kenneth Pleasant was 36 years old at the time of his death.
