1994-125355 – Carl Williams

Around 8:30pm on the evening of Wednesday, April 20th, 1994, Carl Malcom Williams was on his way home from his sister’s house where he had been helping hang drywall when his Nissan pickup broke down on I-40 in the Hermitage area. He got out of the vehicle and started walking Westbound toward the Old Hickory Blvd. exit and attempted to flag down drivers. A short time later, someone reported seeing a man lying in the ground and officers found the victim shot to death. A semi-truck was seen in the area around the time of the shooting and it was described as light colored, new looking, possibly a Peterbilt, with an unloaded flatbed trailer and no logos on the cab. Carl Malcom Williams was 32 years old at the time of his death.
