At approximately 4:30pm on Friday, July 24th, the body of Marilynn Denease Grisby was discovered in a grassy field behind 1703 Church Street. She had suffered and succumbed to blunt force trauma injuries. Grisby, who also went by her married name of Marilynn Minor, was last seen in the early hours of Thursday, July 23rd, 1987 when she was dropped off at the alley where people were hanging out next to the Free Spirit Motorcycle Club located at 1535 Charlotte Avenue between 2:30am and 3:00am. Marilynn Denease Grisby was 22 years old at the time of her death.
