On Friday, May 9th, 1986, Walter Leroy Armstrong’s sister entered his apartment located at 3010 Indiana Avenue around 4:30pm and found him lying on the floor of the living room injured and called an ambulance. Armstrong had been shot and succumbed to his injury approximately an hour later. Walter Leroy Armstrong was 34 years old at the time of his death.
