1980-202650 – Sharon J. Emerson
On Monday, August 25th, 1980, Sharon Emerson’s brother reported her missing. She had last been seen by her sister on Tuesday, August 19th, 1980 and she had left a note in her apartment dated 08/20/80 at 8:25pm. Her vehicle, a brown 1979 Ford Mustang, had been parked and abandoned on I-40 near the Massman Drive Overpass where it was struck by another vehicle and towed on August 26th, 1980. On November 9th, 1980, Emerson’s body was discovered along Eatons Creek Road just east of Binkly Road. She had been stabbed multiple times. According to the medical examiner, it is likely that she was killed shortly after she went missing. Sharon J. Emerson was 27 years old at the time of her death.
