In the early afternoon of Saturday, December 20th, 1975 and officer responded to a call reporting a body lying in a vacant building at the end of Magazine Street. The body the officer found at the location would later be identified as William Thomas Burns. He had last been seen or heard from between Monday, November 24th, 1975 and Friday, November 28th, 1975. The medical examiner determined that his throat had been cut. William Thomas Burns was 59 years old at the time of his death.
