On the morning of Tuesday, October 13th, 1970, Mary Bryant’s mother reported her missing. She had not seen or heard from Bryant since Thursday, October 8th, 1970. Later that afternoon, at approximately 4:15pm, Mary Bryant’s body was found in some weeds behind old Peyton Place at 2222 9th Ave. North. Bryant had been shot multiple times. The medical examiner stated she had likely been shot on the morning of Sunday, October 11th, 1970. Bryant had been seen out as late as 9:00pm and possibly 11:00pm the night before in the company of three other people. Mary Bryant was 25 years old at the time of her death.
